Build hreflang tags for your English and Arabic pages and catch the most common mistakes before they cost you traffic. It runs in your browser and nothing is saved.
Enter a language code and the full address of each version of the same page, for example en and ar.
Add an x-default address if you have one, then read the checks under the form.
Copy the tags and paste the same full set into the head of every version, including the page itself.
Every version must list all versions, including itself, and each version must link back to the others. If page A points to page B but B does not point back, the tags may be ignored. Use full absolute addresses, use a hyphen in codes such as ar-AE, and write the language in lower case and the region in upper case.
Use region codes only when the content really differs for that country. Several near-identical copies of a page for different countries add little value and can look like doorway pages, so a single Arabic and a single English version is often the right start. Our hreflang guide for Arabic and English goes deeper, and our Arabic SEO service and technical SEO audits cover the full setup, including sitemaps and checks in Search Console.
We set up Arabic SEO, hreflang and indexing so each audience finds the right page.
